About the Role
Blessing Softtech is looking for a Creative Director who thinks in frames. You will own how the brand looks and sounds across every piece of content we put out — from the first idea on a whiteboard to the final cut. This is a hands-on creative role, not a purely supervisory one: you will design the shot, be on set directing it, and stay involved through the edit until the frame does what it was meant to do.
If you have a strong eye for composition, know how to build a story shot by shot, and enjoy shaping a young brand’s visual identity from the ground up, this is a role with real creative ownership.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreative Direction & Concept
- Own the overall creative vision and visual identity of the brand across digital, social, print and product content.
- Translate business and marketing briefs into original creative concepts, campaign ideas and content themes.
- Develop mood boards, reference decks, look-and-feel guides and shot lists before every production.
- Maintain brand consistency — colour, typography, tone, framing language — across everything the company publishes.
Shoot Planning & Framing
- Plan shoots end to end: concept, script, storyboard, shot breakdown, location scouting, props, casting and call sheets.
- Design the frame — composition, camera angle, movement, lens choice, depth and blocking — so every shot carries the intended emotion and message.
- Direct the camera, lighting and talent on set; make live calls on framing and coverage while keeping the shoot on schedule.
- Ensure continuity, lighting consistency and clean coverage so the footage cuts together cleanly in post.
- Work with photographers, videographers, models, stylists and freelance crew, briefing them clearly and getting the best out of them.
Production & Post-Production
- Oversee editing, colour grading, sound, motion graphics and VFX; give sharp, specific feedback across review rounds.
- Adapt master content into platform-native cuts — Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn, ads, website and thumbnails.
- Manage shoot budgets, timelines, equipment and vendors; keep production organised and on cost.
- Maintain an organised asset library — raw footage, selects, final exports and brand templates.
Team & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor designers, editors and content creators; review their work and raise the quality bar.
- Work closely with marketing, sales and product to make sure creative supports real business goals.
- Track content performance and use those insights to sharpen the next round of creative.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–4 years of experience in creative direction, art direction, video production or content design — agency, in-house brand or studio.
- A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating shoot direction and framing, not just design layouts. This is mandatory.
- Deep understanding of composition, framing, lighting and visual storytelling.
- Practical on-set experience directing photo and video shoots from planning through wrap.
- Working knowledge of cameras, lenses and lighting setups; able to communicate clearly with a DOP or shoot solo when needed.
- Hands-on skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve, Figma or Canva.
- Ability to storyboard and communicate a shot idea visually before the shoot day.
- Strong ideation and scripting ability for short-form and long-form content.
- Clear communicator and dependable project manager — comfortable running multiple productions in parallel.
Good to Have
- Experience creating content for technology or SaaS brands.
- Motion graphics, 3D or AI-assisted content generation skills.
- Understanding of performance creative — what makes an ad stop the scroll and convert.
- Experience building a brand’s visual identity from scratch.
- A personal creative practice — photography, filmmaking or a published body of work.
