Job Summary
The Account Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and financial transactions of Samarth Jewellery Limited, ensuring accurate accounting records, timely reconciliations, proper documentation, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
The role will involve handling sales and purchase accounting, jewellery inventory-related accounting, cash and bank transactions, customer and vendor ledgers, GST/TDS support, billing, reconciliations, and periodic financial reporting. The Account Executive will work closely with the Accounts, Sales, Purchase, Inventory and Management teams to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Record daily sales, purchase, expense, receipt, payment and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally/ERP/accounting software.
- Ensure proper accounting of showroom and office transactions.
- Verify accounting entries and supporting documents before posting.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
2. Sales & Jewellery Billing
- Verify sales invoices, jewellery bills, credit/debit notes and related documents.
- Ensure correct accounting of gold, diamond, silver and other jewellery sales.
- Verify discounts, making charges, wastage, taxes and other billing components.
- Reconcile daily sales reports with accounting records and collection data.
- Coordinate with showroom teams for billing-related discrepancies.
3. Purchase & Vendor Accounting
- Record purchase invoices and vendor transactions accurately.
- Maintain supplier/vendor ledgers and verify outstanding balances.
- Verify purchase bills against supporting documents and approvals.
- Follow up with relevant departments for discrepancies or missing documents.
4. Cash & Bank Management
- Record and monitor daily cash and bank transactions.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile showroom cash collections with system records and deposits.
- Monitor payment receipts and ensure proper allocation against customer/vendor accounts.
- Identify and resolve differences in cash and bank balances.
5. Customer & Supplier Reconciliation
- Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.
- Conduct regular ledger reconciliation and confirmation.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
- Follow up with concerned teams for pending collections or payments.
- Ensure accurate adjustment of advances, refunds and settlements.
6. Jewellery Inventory & Stock Accounting
- Coordinate with the inventory/showroom team for stock reconciliation.
- Verify accounting records related to jewellery stock movements.
- Assist in reconciliation of gold, diamond and silver inventory between physical stock and system records.
- Investigate and report stock/accounting discrepancies to management.
- Maintain proper documentation for stock transfers, sales, returns and exchanges.
7. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of GST-related accounting data.
- Verify GST input/output transactions and supporting invoices.
- Assist with GST, TDS and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Provide accurate data and documentation to auditors/consultants.
- Ensure accounting records are maintained as per applicable statutory requirements.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
