Role & responsibilities
Management:
- Budget / Forecast, monthly / yearly sales and expenses to support Regional Manager Sales for the assigned zone / customers and Field Engineers
- Validate potential for Oerlikon Surface Solutions and collect all the necessary market information from the team / CRM: Competition update, new opportunities, new applications.
- Conduct market surveys and collect customer related data to support the business strategy, policy, budgeting, forecasting etc.
- Develop, train and lead the team for techno-commercial service to the customers, initiate, encourage sampling testing with cost benefit analysis.
- Attend customer complaint and resolve them to Customer satisfaction. Escalate and involve Business Development Managers / Regional Manager Sales for more support when required.
- Get major business share by implementing planned Key Customer Management System (K.C.M.) in co-ordination with Field Engineer and ensure that key customers are fully satisfied
- Conduct customer satisfaction survey, initiate/plan technical seminars and co-ordinate for technical exhibitions.
- Focus payment recoveries in co-ordination with Commercial Department and concerned Field Engineer to control the credit
- CRM KPIs: Review periodically and monitor: visits, opportunities, campaigns, complaints, forecast, budget. Bluesheet, overall data quality
- Assess manpower to keep sales per FTE at optimal level
- Review customer satisfaction and employee engagement survey and make/monitor necessary action plan
Operations
- Responsibility for optimal and sustainable management of resources (e.g. equipment)
- Initiate / support continuous improvement in quality and service delivered to the customers
- Alignment with HSE policies and local legal requirements
Human capital management & development
Preferred candidate profile
- Graduate / Diploma in Science / Engineering.
- Must have minimum 10 to 15 years of technical sales experience into Cutting tools / dies & molds / Precision component preferably in industrial or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to sustain and grow existing business while identifying new market opportunities and converting them into sales within defined timelines.
- Strong customer relationship management, negotiation, and business development capabilities.
- Experience in driving profitable growth through strategic account management and market expansion initiatives.
- Must be ready to relocate to Chennai.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,700,000.00 per year
