Job Summary
The Center Head is responsible for the overall administration, academic excellence, operational efficiency, and business performance of the Kochi center. The role involves leading the academic and administrative teams, ensuring high-quality student services, driving admissions, maintaining regulatory compliance, and achieving organizational goals while fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Ensure the effective planning and delivery of academic programs.
- Monitor faculty performance and maintain high teaching standards.
- Conduct regular academic reviews, observations, and performance evaluations.
- Develop strategies to improve student outcomes and satisfaction.
- Organize faculty development and training initiatives.
Center Operations
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the center efficiently.
- Ensure proper maintenance of classrooms, laboratories, equipment, and facilities.
- Implement and monitor institutional policies and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate schedules, examinations, events, and academic calendars.
Team Management
- Supervise trainers, administrative staff, counselors, and support personnel.
- Foster a collaborative and professional work culture.
- Conduct team meetings and resolve operational or staff-related issues.
- Mentor employees and support their professional growth.
Student Management
- Maintain high standards of student discipline and engagement.
- Address student concerns, grievances, and feedback promptly.
- Ensure excellent student support services throughout the learning journey.
- Build positive relationships with students and parents where applicable.
Admissions and Business Development
- Support admission targets through effective planning and coordination.
- Collaborate with marketing and admissions teams to increase enrollments.
- Develop local partnerships and participate in promotional activities.
- Monitor conversion rates and implement strategies to improve admissions performance.
Financial and Administrative Control
- Oversee center budgets and expenditure within approved limits.
- Ensure proper maintenance of accounts, documentation, and petty cash records.
- Verify invoices, reimbursements, and operational expenses.
- Coordinate with the finance department for audits and compliance.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate academic and administrative records.
- Implement quality assurance measures to enhance institutional performance.
- Prepare reports required by management and regulatory authorities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between management, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare periodic reports on academic performance, admissions, operations, and financial matters.
- Represent the institution professionally during meetings and events.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education, Management, Aviation, or a related discipline.
- Additional certifications in educational leadership or administration are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in academic administration, education management, or institutional leadership.
- Prior experience as a Principal, Center Head, Academic Manager, or similar leadership role is preferred.
- Experience in aviation training or higher education institutions is desirable.
