Curriculum - IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)
Position Overview
The MYP Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction aligned with the IB philosophy. The role focuses on developing students' problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical skills through inquiry-based and concept-driven learning. The teacher fosters international-mindedness and supports the holistic development of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching and Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in MYP Mathematics.
- Use inquiry-based and student-centered teaching strategies.
- Develop students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Encourage critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and real-world application of mathematical concepts.
Curriculum Planning
- Design unit plans aligned with the IB MYP framework, including Key Concepts, Global Contexts, and ATL Skills.
- Incorporate interdisciplinary connections and real-life applications of mathematics.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Assessment and Reporting
- Develop and implement formative and summative assessments based on IB MYP criteria.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
Student Development
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Promote international-mindedness and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Support students' academic, personal, and social-emotional growth.
Collaboration and Professional Development
- Collaborate with colleagues and curriculum coordinators.
- Participate in professional development programs, workshops, and training.
- Contribute to school events, extracurricular activities, and institutional initiatives.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or an equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an international curriculum (IB experience preferred).

- Knowledge of the IB MYP framework and inquiry-based learning.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
