Job Summary
The Primary Social Studies Teacher is responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment that helps students develop an understanding of society, geography, history, civics, culture, and environmental awareness. The teacher will deliver the curriculum effectively while fostering critical thinking, curiosity, and responsible citizenship.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver interactive Social Studies lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and teaching aids to support student learning.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning through projects, discussions, storytelling, and hands-on activities.
- Foster awareness of history, geography, civics, culture, and environmental responsibility.
- Assess students' academic progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities and school events.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic and behavioral progress.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development programs, school functions, and co-curricular activities.
- Ensure classroom discipline while promoting respect, teamwork, and ethical values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, Political Science, or a related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- CTET/TET qualification is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of teaching experience in Primary classes (Grades III–V), preferably in a CBSE school.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
