Job Summary
We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues while ensuring minimal downtime and excellent end-user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
- Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, email clients, and business applications.
- Configure and support network connectivity, including LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic TCP/IP troubleshooting.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions using Active Directory (or equivalent).
- Respond to service desk tickets and ensure timely issue resolution in line with SLAs.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, antivirus updates, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets, including desktops, laptops, printers, and accessories.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and warranty support.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and training to end users when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in desktop support or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and remote support tools.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN).
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per day
