Role Overview
We are hiring a Technical Project Manager (8+ years' experience) to lead technology-driven projects for our digital marketing agency's clients — spanning CMS platforms (AEM, Sitecore, or Drupal), mobile applications, and AI-driven solutions — across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role needs a hands-on leader who can manage delivery across multiple technology domains, engage directly with client and senior stakeholders, and drive governance across schedule, budget, and scope, backed by excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of technology projects for agency clients — including CMS platforms (AEM, Sitecore, or Drupal), mobile applications, and AI-driven solutions — from planning through go-live.
- Apply a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to plan and track projects accurately, regardless of technology stack.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client and senior stakeholders, driving excellent stakeholder management, engagement, and communication.
- Control project schedule, budget, and scope effectively, identifying risks and slippage early and course-correcting proactively.
- Own project governance — status reporting, steering committee updates, and issue resolution to closure.
- Create and manage RAID logs and identify scope deviations to raise the right Change Requests (CRs).
- Adapt Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall best practices according to each project's needs, and recommend the right methodology.
- Coach team members on process best practices, fix process gaps, and drive continuous improvement in delivery processes.
- Break down complex work into clear, actionable tasks, and create and manage technical documents for tracking the project.
- Manage budgets, resourcing, vendor/staffing decisions, and cross-team/cross-vendor dependencies through to post-delivery transition and hypercare.
- Work from our Chennai office, with the flexibility to travel across India as business and project requirements demand.
Experience & Skills
Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Technical Project/Program Management, ideally within a digital marketing agency or similarly fast-paced, multi-project environment.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), applied consistently across project types.
- Experience managing CMS projects — implementation or migration — on platforms such as AEM, Sitecore, or Drupal.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including direct client-facing and executive-level reporting.
- Ability to control schedule, budget, and scope effectively — not just track them.
- Hands-on experience with RAID logs, risk management, and project governance.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Hybrid practices, with the ability to recommend and adapt the right methodology per project.
- Process-, data-, and results-driven approach, with the ability to break down complex work into clear, actionable tasks.
Preferred Skills
- PMP, Scrum Master, PRINCE2, or an equivalent certification.
- Prior experience specifically within a Digital Marketing agency.
- Experience managing large teams and/or managed services / support engagements, including SLA/KPI ownership.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and program-level financial/resource tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to lead Mobile Application and AI-driven projects.
Good to Have Skills
- Experience handling escalations independently across cross-functional and cross-vendor teams.
- Experience mentoring junior project managers or PMO team members.
- Experience in multiple domains like telecom, banking, healthcare, etc.,
- Managing teams from offshore and onshore teams
- Experience working on global projects as well as multi-cultural teams, collaborating with stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones.
