Position: Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team at Suburban Residency. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction across guest rooms and public areas, contributing to a positive guest experience in our 3-star hospitality environment.
Housekeeping Supervisors are responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, managing staff, and maintaining quality standards in line with hotel expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Supervision
- Supervise daily housekeeping activities and assign duties to room attendants
- Monitor staff performance and ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Prepare duty rosters and manage shift scheduling
- Coordinate room readiness with the front office
2. Quality Control & Inspection
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas for cleanliness and presentation
- Ensure all areas meet hotel cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective action
3. Staff Management & Training
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures and safety standards
- Conduct induction training for new employees
- Motivate team members and maintain discipline
- Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback
4. Inventory & Supplies
- Monitor housekeeping inventory including linen, cleaning supplies, and equipment
- Ensure timely replenishment of materials
- Control usage to minimize wastage
5. Guest Service
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping
- Ensure guest satisfaction through timely and efficient service
- Coordinate special room setups or guest preferences
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards
- Monitor the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Report maintenance issues to relevant departments
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Hospitality Management (preferred)
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in housekeeping (hotel industry preferred)
- Prior supervisory experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
- Basic computer knowledge (PMS systems preferred)
