Key responsibilities of Fabric processing follow up in charge / team
1. Fabric Knowledge
- Woven Structure Expertise: Should have deep understanding of Plain, Twill, Seersucker, and Double cloth constructions, including how different weaves behave during processing.
- Cellulosic Blend Behavior: Strong knowledge of shrinkage, elongation, and tension controls required for Cotton, Linen, Viscose, and Tencel blends.
- Specialized Finishes: Experience managing specific finishes like Soft finish, resin finish, Brushing for Cotton ,Tencel, and maintaining the puckered texture of Seersucker.
- Defect Prevention: Ability to identify and prevent weave-specific defects like reed marks, and processing specific defects like skewness, bowing, creasemarks, stains and structural flattening.
2. Quality Awareness
- Shade & Handfeel Approval: Strong visual color assessment skills (D65/TL84 light sources) and the ability to match premium handfeel standards.
- Dimensional Stability: Strict enforcement of shrinkage, skew movement, and bowing tolerances across different fiber types.
- Fastness Verification: Routine checking of lab reports for washing, rubbing, and light fastness before approving bulk delivery.
3. Operational Follow-Up & Reporting
- Loomstate to Finished Tracking: Daily tracking of fabric movement from grey delivery, desizing, scouring, bleaching, dyeing, to final finishing.
- Lead Time Management: Proven track record of managing tight production timelines across multiple third-party processors simultaneously.
- Data Management: Proficiency in maintaining detailed Excel trackers or ERP systems for real-time batch status and transit logs.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
