Job Title: Biology Teacher (PGT/TGT)
Job Summary
The Biology Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating engaging biology lessons that promote scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and practical learning. The teacher will create a positive learning environment, encourage curiosity, and prepare students for academic excellence while fostering ethical and environmental awareness.
Key Responsibilities Academic Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Biology lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions while ensuring laboratory safety protocols.
- Explain biological concepts using demonstrations, experiments, models, and digital resources.
- Assess students through class tests, projects, practical examinations, and periodic assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.
- Provide remedial support and enrichment activities based on students' learning needs.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive examinations, where applicable.
Classroom Management
- Create and maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage active participation, inquiry-based learning, and scientific thinking.
- Promote respect, collaboration, and responsible classroom behavior.
Laboratory Management
- Supervise Biology laboratory activities safely and effectively.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, specimens, chemicals, and inventory.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of laboratory materials.
Student Development
- Mentor students in academic and personal development.
- Identify learning difficulties and provide appropriate support.
- Encourage participation in science exhibitions, Olympiads, quizzes, and environmental activities.
Communication
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic performance and behavior.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete school records, reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Perform examination duties and other responsibilities assigned by the school management.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Biology/Botany/Zoology/Life Sciences (for PGT) or Bachelor's Degree in Biology (for TGT).
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- CTET/TET qualification (if applicable).
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
