1. Job Description: Plant Maintenance Fitter
Position Overview: As a Plant Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various machines and equipment within the plant. Your primary focus will be on EOT Cranes, power presses, hydraulic presses, shearing machines, cold forming machines, Goliath cranes, CNC drill machines, oxyfuel cutting machines, and beam straightening machines.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on EOT Cranes up to 50 Tons, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.
- Perform maintenance tasks on power presses up to 150 Tons, including lubrication, component replacement, and adjustment to ensure optimal performance.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance activities on hydraulic presses up to 500 Tons, including troubleshooting hydraulic systems, replacing worn-out parts, and ensuring smooth operation.
- Maintain and service shearing machines with hydraulics up to 20mm thickness, ensuring their cutting accuracy and safety.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on cold forming machines, ensuring they operate at their designated capacities.
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Goliath Cranes with a capacity of 30 Tons, including structural integrity checks, lubrication, and replacing faulty components.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC drill machines, ensuring their accuracy, alignment, and smooth operation.
- Service and maintain oxyfuel cutting machines, including gas supply systems, cutting torches, and controls, to ensure precise cutting and efficient operation.
- Conduct maintenance activities on beam straightening machines for 50mm thickness, ensuring their alignment, calibration, and functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- ITI / High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in mechanical maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in plant maintenance, particularly with EOT Cranes, power presses, hydraulic presses, shearing machines, cold forming machines, Goliath cranes, CNC drill machines, oxyfuel cutting machines, and beam straightening machines.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems related to the mentioned machines.
- Proficient in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity for performing tasks that require bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with team members and report any maintenance activities or issues.
