About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and energetic Outreach Coordinator to lead community outreach, youth mobilization, and learner enrolment for our Lighthouse Centre in Samantrapur. You will work closely with local communities, educational institutions, NGOs, and other stakeholders to connect underserved youth with skilling and career opportunities.
This is a field-based role that requires regular travel within the assigned communities and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach & Youth Mobilization
Plan and execute community outreach activities to mobilize eligible youth for Lighthouse programs.
Conduct door-to-door visits, awareness campaigns, community meetings, and enrolment drives.
Build a strong pipeline of prospective learners to achieve enrolment targets.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with parents, community leaders, schools, colleges, NGOs, and local organizations.
Develop partnerships that increase awareness and referrals for Lighthouse programs.
Represent the organization at community events and local forums.
Centre Activation & Learner Engagement
Organize orientation sessions, career awareness programs, workshops, and community events.
Support learner engagement initiatives to improve attendance and retention.
Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for youth visiting the centre.
Data Management & Coordination
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, enquiries, enrolments, and community mapping using MS Excel, Google Sheets, and internal MIS tools.
Share regular updates with the Centre Head and coordinate with internal teams to achieve program goals.
Learner Development
Support learners throughout their journey from enrolment to placement.
Identify and mentor student leaders who can encourage youth participation within their communities.
Assist in placement and career readiness initiatives.
Eligibility
Graduate or Postgraduate (MSW preferred).
Minimum 2 years of experience in community mobilization, outreach, youth engagement, or grassroots development.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in Odia is essential. Knowledge of Hindi and English will be an added advantage.
Experience in organizing community events and awareness campaigns.
Working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
Ability to work independently in the field and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Passion for community development and youth empowerment.
Willingness to travel locally within Samantrapur and nearby communities.
