Job Description :
Prithvi Animal Welfare Society , a veterinary NGO in Kovalam, Tamil Nadu, is looking for a dedicated and detail - oriented Paravet. You will assist the veterinarian in clinical and surgical procedures, prepare animals for surgery, and ensure proper pre - operative and post - operative care. At PAWS, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to rescued animals.
Responsibilities :
- Assist the veterinarian in clinical and surgical procedures.
- Prepare animals and equipment for surgery.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the clinic and operation theatre
- Monitor animals during pre - op and post - op recovery.
- Handle and restrain dogs and cats safely and compassionately.
- Maintain records and follow clinical protocols.
- Ensure hygiene, safety and proper handling of medical supplies and equipment.
Requirements :
- Relevant veterinary/paravet training preferred.
- Physically fit and comfortable handling animals.
- Experience in animal handling is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
- Ability to prepare animals for surgery and recovery.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for animal welfare and compassionate care.
