About the Role
Woodapple Publications is seeking passionate and experienced Freelance Mathematics Textbook Writers to develop engaging, competency-based, and future-ready Mathematics textbooks for Classes 6 to 8. The content should align with the vision of NEP 2020 and NCF 2023, focusing on conceptual understanding, experiential learning, critical thinking, and real-life applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop original Mathematics textbook content for Classes 6–8.
- Create age-appropriate explanations, examples, activities, and exercises.
- Design competency-based questions following NEP 2020 and NCF 2023 guidelines.
- Prepare real-life, experiential, and activity-oriented learning content.
- Develop Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), case-based, and application-based questions.
- Ensure mathematical accuracy, clarity, and curriculum alignment.
- Work closely with editors, illustrators, and curriculum experts to deliver high-quality educational resources.
- Revise and improve manuscripts based on editorial feedback within timelines.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should possess:
- M.Sc. in Mathematics
- B.Ed. or M.Ed.
- School teaching experience (Middle School preferred)
- Prior experience in Mathematics textbook/content writing
- Strong understanding of NEP 2020 and NCF 2023
- Excellent academic writing and communication skills
- Ability to create innovative and learner-centric content
Desired Skills
- Strong conceptual knowledge of middle school Mathematics.
- Experience in competency-based education.
- Creative lesson planning and activity design.
- Ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts.
- Familiarity with Bloom's Taxonomy and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent proofreading and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
