Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced and result-driven Workshop Manager to lead and manage workshop operations at Angul. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining service quality standards, and driving customer satisfaction while managing the technical team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the workshop
- Supervise technicians and service staff to ensure productivity
- Plan and allocate work efficiently for timely service delivery
- Ensure quality control and adherence to service standards
- Handle customer escalations and resolve issues professionally
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory and workshop tools
- Coordinate with Service Advisors and other departments
- Maintain proper job cards, service records, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies
- Track workshop performance and implement improvements
Candidate Requirements:
- Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
- 2–5 years of experience in workshop/service operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good technical knowledge of automobile systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in workshop management software / ERP systems
- Strong decision-making and operational planning ability
- Customer handling and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround time
