Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for handling student enquiries, counselling students and parents, and converting leads into successful admissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle admission enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, online leads, and walk-in visits.
- Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, batch details, syllabus, fees, duration, study material, test series, and career opportunities.
- Understand the student’s academic background and exam target, then suggest the most suitable course.
- Make regular follow-up calls to cold leads, warm leads, and interested prospects.
- Convert potential leads into confirmed admissions through proper counselling and follow-up.
- Maintain complete records of leads, follow-ups, admissions, and student interactions.
- Update enquiry and admission data in Excel, CRM, or institute software on a daily basis.
- Share course information, fee structure, demo class details, and admission process with students.
- Coordinate with academic teams, faculty, and management for batch updates and course information.
- Handle walk-in enquiries professionally and guide students through the admission process.
- Build strong relationships with students and parents through polite and professional communication.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly admission targets.
- Assist the marketing and field team in student mobilization, seminars, campaigns, and promotional activities when required.
- Provide regular reports to management regarding leads, conversions, follow-ups, and admissions.
- Maintain a positive and student-friendly environment at the counselling desk.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counselling, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to explain course benefits clearly to students and parents.
- Good command over Hindi and English is required.
- Knowledge of Punjabi or any regional language will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in coaching institute admissions or education counselling is mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of government exams such as UGC NET, CSIR NET, IIT JAM, GATE, CUET, Bank, SSC, Railway, Police, UPSC, and Teaching Exams will be preferred.
- Good follow-up skills and ability to close admissions.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Google Sheets, WhatsApp, Email, and Internet.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, disciplined, and positive in attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple enquiries at the same time.
- Professional behaviour and presentable personality.
Experience Required
Minimum Experience: 1 to 3 years
Candidates must have experience in any of the following areas:

- Competitive Exam Coaching Sales
Candidates with experience in Bank, SSC, Railway, Police, UPSC, UGC NET, CSIR NET, IIT JAM, GATE, CUET, or Teaching Exam Coaching Institutes will be given preference.
Qualification
- Graduate in any stream.
- Candidates with experience in education sales or coaching institute admissions will be preferred.
- Strong communication and student counselling skills are more important than qualification.
