Job Title: Solar Design Engineer

Job Purpose
The Solar Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects. The role involves preparing technical designs, system layouts, energy generation analysis, and supporting project execution while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Design solar PV systems including rooftop and ground-mounted installations
- Prepare detailed system layouts using AutoCAD, Helioscope, PVsyst, or equivalent software
- Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical drawings, and technical documentation
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies
- Calculate system capacity, generation estimates, and performance ratio
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications
- Coordinate with project, procurement, and execution teams
- Provide technical support to tendering and business development teams
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety norms, and company policies
- Optimize system design for cost efficiency and performance
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Mandatory)
Experience Required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in solar PV system design preferred
- Freshers with relevant solar design training may be considered
Technical Skills Required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of PVsyst / Helioscope / SketchUp (preferred)
- Understanding of solar PV system components and electrical systems
- Knowledge of SLD preparation and electrical design
- Familiarity with MNRE, IEC, and relevant electrical standards

Working Conditions:
- Office-based role with occasional site visits if required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
