Position Summary
The Factory Head will be responsible for leading the complete manufacturing operations of the Bhiwandi plant. The role requires ownership of Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Dispatch, Safety, Cost Control, and People Management while ensuring timely delivery, optimum productivity, statutory compliance, and continuous operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Operations
- Lead complete factory operations with end-to-end accountability.
- Ensure smooth execution of production plans.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Maximize machine utilization and production efficiency.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Monitor plant productivity and capacity utilization.
2. Production Planning & Control (PPC)
- Coordinate with Sales and Supply Chain for production scheduling.
- Prepare production plans based on customer orders.
- Monitor adherence to production schedules.
- Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods.
- Balance production priorities and available resources.
3. Quality Management
- Ensure products meet customer quality standards.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and wastage.
- Lead root cause analysis of customer complaints.
- Implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
- Promote a Zero Defect manufacturing culture.
4. Maintenance & Engineering
- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of all machinery.
- Reduce machine breakdowns.
- Improve equipment reliability.
- Plan capital expenditure for machinery upgrades.
- Coordinate installation and commissioning of new equipment.
5. Inventory, Stores and Warehouse Management
- Optimize warehouse space and inventory levels.
- Monitor stock accuracy.
- Minimize inventory carrying costs.
- Ensure proper material handling and storage practices.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables for uninterrupted production.
6. Cost Control
- Drive manufacturing cost reduction initiatives.
- Monitor production cost per unit.
- Reduce wastage and process losses.
- Improve energy efficiency.
- Optimize manpower productivity.
- Track manufacturing KPIs and budget adherence.
7. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Implement 5S across the plant.
- Drive Kaizen projects.
- Improve process flow.
- Reduce cycle time.
- Eliminate non-value-added activities.
8. Safety, Health & Environment (EHS)
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety norms.
- Maintain statutory records.
- Conduct safety audits.
- Drive zero-accident culture.
- Ensure proper use of PPE.
- Lead emergency preparedness activities.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.
9. Compliance
Ensure compliance with:
- Factory Act
- Labour Laws
- Pollution Control Board requirements
- Fire Safety Regulations
- Electrical Safety Standards
- ISO Quality Systems (where applicable)
- Internal company policies
10. People Management
- Demonstrate high-calibre people management and leadership skills.
- Effectively lead, manage, and motivate executives, supervisors, and shop-floor workers.
- Drive team performance to achieve operational and business objectives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, Printing Technology, or related Engineering discipline.
- MBA (Operations) preferred.
Experience
- 15–20 years in manufacturing.
- Minimum 5–8 years in a Factory Head/Plant Head role.
- Experience in printing, inks, industrial products, chemicals, engineering, or process manufacturing preferred.
- Experience managing 100+ employees is desirable.
