This is NOT a hospital-based nursing position.
This is a Stay-in Home Care Nurse role where you will stay at the client's home for the duration of the assignment and provide dedicated care to both the mother and newborn.
Assignments may be in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, or other cities across India. Candidates should be comfortable with travelling and temporarily relocating based on assignment requirements.
If you are looking only for a hospital or fixed-location nursing job, this role may not be be suitable for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for newborn babies in a home setting.
- Support mothers during the postpartum recovery period.
- Assist mothers with breastfeeding, latching, positioning, and basic lactation support.
- Handle all newborn care, including feeding support, bathing, diapering, burping, soothing, hygiene, and sleep routines.
- Monitor the baby's health and identify concerns that require medical attention.
- Educate and guide parents on newborn care, hygiene, feeding, and safe caregiving practices.
- Maintain accurate observation and ensure a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for both mother and baby.
- Build a trusting and supportive relationship with families throughout the assignment.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
- Hands-on experience in NICU, Neonatal Care, Maternity, Postnatal, or Pediatric departments.
- Experience caring for preterm babies, low-birth-weight babies, NICU graduates, or medically delicate newborns is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting mothers during the early postpartum period.
- Basic knowledge of breastfeeding support and newborn care.
- Home care experience will be an added advantage.
Qualifications
- ANM / GNM / B.Sc. Nursing.
- Valid nursing registration is preferred.
