Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor – Production to oversee daily fabrication operations and ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in fabrication processes and hands-on supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication activities on the shop floor.
- Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet targets.
- Ensure fabrication work is carried out as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Manage manpower allocation and optimize productivity.
- Monitor welding, cutting, bending, assembly, and related fabrication processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Planning departments.
- Identify and implement process improvements for cost reduction and efficiency.
- Maintain production records and reports.
- Train and guide fabrication workers and technicians.
Qualification:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BME / BE Mechanical)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fabrication production.
- Must have hands-on experience in heavy fabrication / structural fabrication / sheet metal fabrication.
- Experience in handling fabrication drawings and welding processes is mandatory.
- Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing industry is required.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, ERP preferred).
- Strong focus on safety and quality compliance.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems.
- Experience in production planning and process improvement.
