Job Summary
Thermo Heat Transfers Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Production & Quality Manager to lead and control shop-floor production and quality assurance activities for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping systems.
The role requires strong coordination between design, purchase, fabrication, inspection, and dispatch, ensuring projects are executed on time, within cost, and in compliance with applicable codes and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities – Production
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities as per project schedules
- Ensure fabrication is carried out as per approved drawings, WPS, and specifications
- Coordinate with design and purchase teams to resolve drawing, material, or process issues
- Optimize manpower, machines, and material usage to improve productivity
- Monitor fabrication stages including:
- Plate cutting & forming
- Shell & dish end fabrication
- Welding & fit-up
- Nozzle installation
- Assembly and testing
- Ensure on-time completion of jobs and readiness for inspection & dispatch
- Maintain production records and daily progress reports
Key Responsibilities – Quality
- Establish and implement Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as:
- ASME Section VIII
- Client specifications
- Internal quality procedures
- Review and approve:
- ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)
- WPS / PQR / Welder Qualifications
- Material Test Certificates (MTCs)
- Coordinate and supervise:
- Visual inspection
- NDT (RT, UT, PT, MT)
- Hydrostatic / pneumatic testing
- Interface with third-party inspection agencies and clients
- Ensure proper documentation including:
- Quality dossiers
- Test reports
- As-built drawings
- Handle NCRs, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Cross-Functional Responsibilities
- Coordinate with:
- Design team for drawing clarifications
- Purchase team for material quality and delivery issues
- Stores & dispatch for traceability and packing
- Support audits (internal and client audits)
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, and production efficiency
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of:
- Pressure vessel & heat exchanger fabrication
- Welding processes and inspection methods
- NDT requirements and acceptance criteria
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Fabrication drawings
- GA drawings
- Codes & standards
- Leadership and team management skills
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities
- Good coordination and problem-solving skills
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in:
- Fabrication industry
- Pressure vessels / heat exchangers
- Production & quality management roles
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- ASME exposure or certification
- Experience dealing with third-party inspections
- Knowledge of safety practices in fabrication shops
- ERP or production tracking system experience

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
