Job Description – Senior Resident (General Surgery)

Position: Senior Resident
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage surgical OPD and IPD patients.
- Assist and perform elective and emergency surgical procedures under supervision.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient care and ward rounds.
- Attend emergency and on-call duties as per departmental roster.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Participate in teaching undergraduate students and junior residents.
- Contribute to seminars, CMEs, and departmental academic activities.
- Ensure compliance with NMC guidelines and hospital protocols.
Qualification:
- MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Valid NMC/State Medical Council Registration.
Experience:
- Fresh postgraduates may apply. Relevant experience will be an added advantage.
