JOB DESCRIPTION –SURVEYOR
- Conduct site surveys, construction surveys, topographical surveys, and setting-out works.
- Establish and maintain benchmarks, reference points, coordinates, grids, and levels at the project site.
- Set out foundations, columns, walls, roads, structures, utilities, and other construction elements as per approved drawings- Dams, Pipelines & tunnels
- Take accurate measurements and verify dimensions, levels, alignments, and elevations.
- Operate surveying instruments including Total Station, Auto Level, Dumpy Level, GPS/GNSS, and other relevant equipment.
- Read and interpret civil/structural drawings, layouts, plans, and specifications.
- Check the accuracy of construction work against approved drawings and survey data.
- Provide required levels, coordinates, and alignment information to site engineers and construction teams.
- Conduct as-built surveys and prepare as-built measurements/drawings.
- Prepare and maintain survey reports, field notes, measurement records, coordinate sheets, and site documentation.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, Contractors, Consultants, and other departments regarding survey requirements.
- Identify discrepancies in levels, alignment, dimensions, or positioning and immediately report them to the concerned engineer.
- Assist in quantity measurements and preparation of measurement sheets wherever required.
- Ensure surveying equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and stored.
- Maintain proper records of benchmarks and control points throughout the project.
- Ensure all survey activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Project Manager or reporting authority.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
- ITI/Certificate in Surveying may be considered for candidates with relevant experience.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Construction Surveyor in building, infrastructure, road, industrial, or civil construction projects.
- Experience in handling Total Station and Auto Level is essential.
- Candidates with experience in large-scale construction projects will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in operating Total Station and Auto Level.
- Knowledge of GPS/GNSS surveying equipment is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret construction and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and preparation of survey reports.
- Understanding of coordinates, levels, benchmarks, alignment, and setting-out procedures.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
