Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related field
Job Responsibilities
- Operate surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, or tool & cutter grinding machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
- Set up grinding machines with correct wheels, fixtures, and work holding devices
- Perform precision grinding to achieve required dimensions and surface finish
- Inspect components using measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges
- Maintain dimensional accuracy within tight tolerances
- Dress and change grinding wheels as required
- Monitor machine performance and ensure safe operation
- Maintain daily production records and quality reports
- Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping of machines
Required Skills
- Knowledge of grinding processes and machining principles
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances (GD&T preferred)
- Experience in precision measurement tools
- Understanding of grinding wheel selection and dressing techniques
- Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Basic troubleshooting of machine issues
Preferred Experience
- Experience in tool room, automotive, or precision manufacturing industries
- Exposure to CNC grinding machines is an added advantage
- Experience in high-precision components manufacturing
