We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in engineering design. The candidate will be responsible for preparing 2D and 3D designs, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and supporting production with technical documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of CAD software and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and equipment as per project requirements.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models.
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Modify existing designs based on customer requirements or engineering changes.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, and Sales departments.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Review drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
- Support prototype development, testing, and product improvement.
- Prepare technical documentation and maintain engineering records.
- Resolve design-related issues during manufacturing and assembly.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Good understanding of machine design, sheet metal, fabrication, machining, and welding processes.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to prepare manufacturing drawings and BOM.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in process equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and engineering documentation.
- Exposure to ISO standards and quality systems.
