Job Overview
The Textile Sample Coordinator will be responsible for managing, organizing, cataloguing, and maintaining fabric and garment samples across the company. The role involves ensuring easy accessibility of samples for internal teams and presenting collections professionally during client visits and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize fabric, garment, and development samples systematically
- Create and update sample records, swatches, codes, buyer references, and product details
- Ensure all samples are properly tagged, stored, and easily retrievable
- Coordinate with merchandising, production, design, and sales teams for sample movement and tracking
- Prepare and display collections professionally for buyer/client presentations and factory visits
- Maintain showroom/sample room cleanliness and presentation standards
- Track incoming and outgoing samples between departments and clients
- Maintain digital and physical inventory of all sample developments
- Assist in creating seasonal collections, display boards, and presentation folders
- Ensure discontinued or old samples are archived properly
- Support management during exhibitions, buyer meetings, and internal presentations
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years experience in textiles, fabrics, merchandising, or sample management
- Strong understanding of fabrics, garment categories, washes, prints, and textile terminology
- Good organizational and inventory management skills
- Attention to detail and presentation aesthetics
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Google Sheets, sample tracking)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Experience in textile mills, garment factories, or buying houses preferred
Additional Skills Preferred
- Understanding of fabric constructions and processing
- Ability to identify fabrics and maintain collection categorization
- Knowledge of retail or buyer presentation standards
This role is a mix of merchandising support, showroom management, and textile sample archiving.
Pay: ₹10,551.24 - ₹24,860.49 per month
