Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior Safety Engineer to support the implementation of safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment at civil construction project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing the company’s safety policies, procedures, and site safety plans.
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
- Monitor workers’ compliance with PPE and safety requirements.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness programs for workers and subcontractors.
- Assist in preparing Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
- Monitor safety during excavation, scaffolding, concreting, reinforcement, formwork, lifting, work at height, and other construction activities.
- Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, incidents, and near-miss cases to the senior safety team.
- Assist in maintaining safety records, inspection reports, permits, and checklists.
- Ensure proper barricading, signage, access, housekeeping, and emergency arrangements at the site.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workers on safety-related matters.
- Assist in emergency preparedness, fire safety, and first-aid arrangements.
- Support accident/incident investigation and corrective action follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory safety requirements and company standards.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification.
- Safety certification such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent will be an advantage.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety practices.
- Good understanding of PPE, work-at-height safety, excavation safety, scaffolding, and lifting operations.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and safety documentation.
- Willingness to work at construction project sites.
Preferred Candidate
- Freshers with relevant safety training may apply.
- Candidates with 3 to 10 years of experience in civil construction safety will be preferred.
- Candidates should be willing to work at project sites and follow site safety procedures.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
