Job Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Engineer with 3 years of experience in the automotive or precision machining industry. The candidate will be responsible for inspection, quality control, and ensuring that in-house and supplier parts meet defined specifications and standards.

Brief Scope of Job:
Ensure in-house and supplier parts meet customer quality standards through inspection, measurement, and proper documentation. Analyze inspection data, identify defects, and implement corrective actions using problem-solving tools. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement. Maintain compliance with quality systems, customer requirements, and ERP processes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Perform sampling inspections of supplier semi-finish and finish, in-house finished parts and ensure accurate record-keeping as per defined procedure.
2. Utilize & perform the verious gauges/instruments like Contour Measuring machines, Hardness Tester, VMM Machine, Vernier Caliper, Micrometer etc for daily checking of in-house and supplier parts.
3. Handle internal quality-related issues, conduct trials, perform analysis, and maintain records.
4. Conduct the inspection of Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR), Product Audit, Layout Inspection, PDIR.
5. Manage ERP transactions for material transfer to Production, Quality, Dispatch, Rejection, and Rework.
6. Engage in other extra-curricular activities related to quality improvement.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
8. Excellent organization skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames.
9. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external
10. Supervision for laser marking machine and related activity like add or update the laser machine program, maintenance, production plan and actual, FPIR.
11. Perform root cause analysis using tools like: Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone (Ishikawa Diagram).
12. Participate in 8D problem-solving activities & Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
13. Identify quality issues and suggest improvements.
14. Ensure adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.
15. Monitor rejection, rework, and scrap data and initiate reduction actions.
16. Maintain 5S and safety compliance in quality inspection area.
17. Support in training operators on quality requirements and inspection methods.
18. Conduct supplier and customer visits to address quality concerns and improvement opportunities, and prepare Minutes of Meeting (MOM) to document discussions, actions, and follow-ups.
Knowledge:
1. Measuring instruments, and quality checking procedures.
2. Basic about heat treatment, Surface treatments.
3. Knowledge about Attribute Gauges & their limitations.
4. IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015 documentation and processes
5. GD&T, Drawing reading.
6. MSA, SPC, Layout Reports, Product Audit, Process Audit, 5S Audit.
7. QC analysis tools like CAPA, 8D, 7QC tools.
Skills:
1. Measuring instrument handling and usage.
2. VMM, Contour Measuring Machine, Surface roughness tester, Height gauge operating.
3. Data analysis and report generation.
4. Software skills - MS Office. ERP.
5. Excellent written and oral communication in English, Hindi and Marathi.
6. Coordination with vendors and meeting the delivery deadline while achieving desired quality.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
