About you and this role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Functional Designer & Tester (IT Analyst) located in Navi Mumbai, India to support global Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) aligned programs and projects. Applies expanded conceptual knowledge in Information Systems as well as knowledge of the company, key business drivers, and processes to develop solutions that meet business needs and requirements.
The successful candidate will serve as the bridge between EHS&S business stakeholders and technical development teams. This role is responsible for translating business requirements into functional designs, validating solutions through comprehensive testing, and ensuring successful delivery of EHS&S digital solutions and enhancements across platforms such as Custom Applications, ServiceNow, SAP and Power Platform.
The individual will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Process Experts, Functional Leads, Developers, and Global EHS&S stakeholders to deliver reliable, user-centric, and compliant solutions that support Dow's EHS&S objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Functional Analysis & Design

Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from EHS&S stakeholders.

Facilitate requirement workshops, process reviews, and solution discussions.

Translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional designs for technical teams.

Evaluate impacts of process changes and recommend optimal solutions.

Ensure solutions align with Dow standards, business processes, and long-term product strategy.

Develop and execute test strategies for enhancements, projects, and production support changes.

Document, track, and coordinate defect resolution with development teams.

Investigate production issues and perform functional root cause analysis.

Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.

Assist with deployment planning, cutover activities, and post-production support.

Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, and innovation.
Qualifications
-
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management of Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent (master’s degree preferred).

3-5 years of experience in functional analysis, testing, business systems, or application support.

Experience working with enterprise business applications.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work with global and cross-functional teams.
Your Skills
- Knowledge of EHS&S business processes and regulatory compliance.

Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Familiarity with requirements management and testing tools (Figma, Azure DevOps).

Understanding of SDLC, UAT, and release management processes.
- The ability to accommodate a flexible schedule aligned with international time zones is essential.
