Job Summary:
The GDS Executive will be responsible for handling flight reservations, ticketing, re-issuance, cancellations, and customer servicing using Global Distribution Systems. The role requires strong knowledge of airline fare rules, routing, and travel regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle domestic and Especially international flight bookings through GDS platforms such as:
Amadeus
Galileo
Issue, reissue, and cancel air tickets as per client requirements.
Check fare rules, baggage policies, and visa requirements.
Manage PNR creation, modification, and queue handling.
Process refunds and manage schedule changes.
Handle ADM (Agency Debit Memo) and ACM (Agency Credit Memo) cases.
Coordinate with airlines for special service requests (SSR) and seat assignments.
Ensure accurate documentation and invoicing.
Provide customer support for ticketing-related queries.
Maintain TAT (Turnaround Time) and service level commitments.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong command over GDS commands and ticketing procedures.
Knowledge of:
Fare construction
IATA regulations
BSP procedures
Good understanding of international routing and geography.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Basic MS Excel and reporting skills.
Eligibility Criteria:
Graduate in any discipline (Travel & Tourism preferred).
Experience in GDS (Amadeus/Galileo preferred).
1–2 years of relevant experience in airline ticketing or travel agency operations.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in B2C & B2B travel handling.
Knowledge of LCC portals and web fares.
Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
