Job Title: Senior Engineer
Job Type: Full Time
Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and reinforcement quantity calculations for project execution. Ensure accurate steel quantity estimation, optimization of reinforcement usage, and compliance with approved structural drawings and specifications. Coordinate with design, procurement, and site execution teams to support timely project delivery while minimizing material wastage.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed BBS for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and other structural components.

Review structural and reinforcement drawings for quantity calculations and detailing accuracy.

Prepare steel quantity take-offs and material requirement plans.

Monitor steel consumption and prepare reconciliation statements.

Coordinate with site teams to resolve reinforcement-related technical issues.

Optimize steel usage and minimize wastage through effective planning.

Maintain records of BBS revisions, quantity reports, and reconciliation statements.

Support procurement teams with steel requirement forecasts.

Ensure reinforcement works comply with project specifications and quality standards.

Prepare periodic reports on steel quantities, consumption, and project progress.
Work Experience
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.

5–10 years of experience in BBS preparation, reinforcement detailing, and quantity estimation.

Experience in industrial, commercial, residential, or infrastructure construction projects.

Strong knowledge of reinforcement detailing, steel quantity calculations, and Bar Bending Schedule preparation.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Office applications.

Knowledge of relevant IS Codes, construction practices, and quality standards.

Experience in steel reconciliation and material management.

Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
