About the Role
Sri Vijayaganapathy Stores is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead the EDP (Electronic Data Processing) Department along with Business Intelligence, Digital Operations, Social Media Management, and Online Sales Platforms.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in data analytics, reporting systems, web technologies, and digital business operations, with the ability to drive data-based decision-making and online business growth.
Key Responsibilities
EDP & Business Intelligence
- Lead and manage the EDP/Data Analytics department efficiently
- Develop and maintain dashboards, MIS reports, and business intelligence systems
- Analyse sales, inventory, customer, and operational data to generate actionable insights
- Ensure data accuracy, automation, and system efficiency across departments
- Design and optimise databases, SQL queries, and reporting structures
Application & System Management
- Develop and maintain internal business applications using Python frameworks
- Handle web-based reporting tools and automation systems
- Coordinate with ERP/software vendors and internal teams for system improvements
- Ensure smooth functioning of digital infrastructure and business applications
Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Manage and monitor company social media platforms
- Plan and execute digital campaigns, promotions, and customer engagement activities
- Coordinate creative content, advertisements, and online branding initiatives
- Track social media performance and generate analytics reports
Online Sales & E-Commerce Operations
- Manage and monitor online sales platforms and website operations
- Coordinate product listings, pricing updates, offers, and inventory synchronisation
- Improve customer experience and digital sales performance
- Analyse online sales trends and optimise digital revenue opportunities
Required Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Python
- Experience in Flask and Django frameworks
- Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and web technologies
- Strong command over SQL and database management
- Hands-on experience in Power BI and Tableau
- Expertise in Google Sheets Query Language
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of social media management and digital marketing tools
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and online sales operations
Candidate Profile
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication skills in English and Tamil
- Ability to handle multiple business functions effectively
- Strong organisational and decision-making capabilities
- Experience in retail/supermarket operations will be an added advantage
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, EDP, MIS, or Digital Operations
- Experience in retail analytics, ERP systems, online sales platforms, or supermarket chain operations preferred
