Job Summary:
The Civil Engineer – Residential Projects is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing all civil works related to residential construction projects. The role involves ensuring quality construction, cost control, safety compliance, and timely completion of housing or apartment projects while coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and supervise civil construction activities at the residential project site.
- Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor daily progress of work and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
- Conduct site inspections for quality control, layout, and structural accuracy.
- Manage materials, manpower, and equipment utilization efficiently.
- Verify and certify contractor bills, measurements, and BOQs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Handle site-level problem-solving and coordinate with project management for technical approvals.
- Support procurement by providing technical specifications and quantity estimations.
- Participate in quality audits and inspections to ensure defect-free delivery.
- Ensure handover readiness with proper documentation and finishing quality.
Employer Requirements:Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- 3–7 years of experience in residential construction projects (apartments, villas, townships, or housing).
- Experience in supervising RCC, finishing, and interior works preferred.
Technical & Functional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of civil construction techniques, materials, and finishing work.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and other project management tools.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of quality standards (IS codes) and safety norms.
- Hands-on experience in quantity estimation, bar bending schedule (BBS), and site coordination.
