Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Stores Executive with an engineering background (Diploma/Degree) and 4+years of relevant experience in store or warehouse operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, material handling, and ensuring smooth store operations in a manufacturing setup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all day-to-day store operations, including material receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch.
- Ensure accurate documentation of inward and outward material movement, including GRNs, material issue notes, stock registers, and other store records.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Purchase Department to maintain optimum stock availability.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to minimize shortages, excess stock, and material losses.
- Conduct periodic stock verification, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory audits while resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, labeling, preservation, and traceability of materials.
- Enforce FIFO, FEFO, or other inventory management practices as applicable.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Purchase, Quality, Planning, and Projects teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Monitor material consumption trends and generate inventory analysis reports for management.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through ERP systems and ensure timely system updates.
- Lead, guide, and supervise store assistants and store personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO/GMP requirements (where applicable), and safety standards within the stores.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, material organization, and warehouse safety.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance store efficiency and inventory accuracy.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and MIS reports for management review.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Stores, Warehouse, or Inventory Management within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical machinery, engineering, fabrication, or machine manufacturing industry will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, and material handling processes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of stock reconciliation, inventory audits, and documentation.
- Strong leadership, coordination, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical ability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems such as ERPNext, SAP, Oracle, or similar software.
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques such as FIFO, FEFO, cycle counting, ABC analysis, and stock reconciliation.
- Ability to lead a team and coordinate with multiple departments.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting deadlines.
