Role description
Role Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Software Architect with strong Snowflake expertise to join as an Individual Contributor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions while actively contributing to development. This role requires deep technical expertise and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Architect, design, and implement enterprise-grade data solutions using Snowflake.
- Work as a hands-on individual contributor, actively involved in development and delivery.
- Define and implement data architecture, data models, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Ensure scalability, performance optimization, and cost efficiency in Snowflake environments.
- Lead the design of data pipelines, integrations, and transformations.
- Establish best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship where required.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and architectural improvements.
- 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in Snowflake.
- Proven experience as a Software Architect or Senior Data Engineer/Architect role.
- Expertise in data warehousing, data modeling (star/snowflake schema), and large-scale data processing.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Snowflake features (tasks, streams, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, dbt, Talend, or similar).
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Experience in architecture design, system scalability, and performance optimization.
- Ability to work independently and drive solutions end-to-end.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong architectural and problem-solving skills
