Debt Recovery AgentRole Summary
The Debt Recovery Agent will be responsible for recovering overdue corporate loan accounts by coordinating with borrowers, conducting field visits, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding dues. The role requires strong communication, negotiation skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions while maintaining positive client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with corporate borrowers for overdue loan repayments through calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
- Track and monitor overdue accounts and maintain regular follow-ups.
- Visit client offices and business premises for recovery discussions when required.
- Negotiate repayment plans in coordination with management.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications, commitments, and recovery progress.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly recovery reports.
- Coordinate with legal advisors and senior management on critical recovery cases.
- Ensure all recovery activities comply with company policies, applicable laws, and ethical recovery practices.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with borrowers while achieving recovery targets.
- Coordinate internally with the credit and operations teams for account updates and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in debt recovery, collections, credit control, or loan recovery (corporate/B2B experience preferred).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Confident, professional, and result-oriented personality.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and recovery visits.
- Basic understanding of financial statements, corporate lending, and loan structures.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in corporate lending, NBFCs, banks, or structured finance.
- Ability to manage high-value corporate accounts.
- Knowledge of secured and unsecured loan recovery procedures.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and follow-up skills.
- Familiarity with legal recovery processes is an added advantage.
