Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Python Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Python, backend frameworks, databases, REST APIs, and cloud-based application development.
Skill Competencies
- 4–8 years of experience building and maintaining backend systems using Python, with hands-on expertise in frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, including authentication, versioning, and error handling best practices.
- Proven experience integrating third-party systems and APIs (e.g., CRM, POS, HRIS, or similar SaaS platforms).
- Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly SQL Server Database, including schema design, query optimization, and ORM usage.
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming, background job processing, and webhook/event-driven integration patterns.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git) in a team development environment.
- Strong technical foundation with a technology-oriented, problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent analytical, logical reasoning, and debugging capabilities.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills — comfortable working directly with cross-functional and client-facing teams.
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments and managing multiple integration workstreams simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend APIs and services that power the core application, using Python and modern web frameworks.
- Build and optimize ETL/data transformation pipelines for onboarding customer data from legacy or third-party systems.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks in integration and data-migration workstreams through proactive planning and testing.
- Write clean, well-documented, testable code and maintain thorough technical documentation to support long-term maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers to design and deliver well-structured APIs that meet application requirements.
- Respond promptly to bugs, data discrepancies, and integration failures to ensure smooth, reliable operation.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions with the broader engineering team.
- Support production deployments, monitoring, and post-release stabilization.
