Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical components involved in solar power projects. The role includes site surveys, structural assessments, mounting structure installation, quality control, project execution, and coordination with electrical and civil teams to ensure safe and timely project completion.
Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Design
- Conduct site surveys for residential, commercial, and industrial solar projects.
- Design and review solar module mounting structures and mechanical layouts.
- Verify roof strength, structural feasibility, and installation requirements.
- Prepare material estimates (BOQ) and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and safety regulations.
Project Execution
- Supervise installation of module mounting structures and mechanical components.
- Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, Project Engineers, and installation teams.
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion.
- Resolve on-site mechanical issues and provide technical guidance.
- Ensure quality workmanship throughout project execution.
Quality & Safety
- Perform quality inspections during and after installation.
- Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and safety procedures.
- Conduct preventive inspections to minimize mechanical failures.
- Maintain proper documentation of inspections, reports, and site activities.
Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement for mechanical materials and accessories.
- Assist the sales team during technical discussions when required.
- Support commissioning and project handover activities.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding project progress and technical requirements.
Documentation
- Prepare daily site reports and project progress reports.
- Maintain engineering drawings, installation records, and maintenance documents.
- Submit completion reports and quality checklists.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- 1–3 years of experience in solar projects, construction, or industrial engineering preferred. Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also apply.
- Knowledge of solar mounting structures, fabrication, and installation practices is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
