Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Freight Broker to join our logistics team. The Freight Broker will be responsible for connecting shippers with carriers and ensuring the smooth transportation of freight across different routes. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to build long-term relationships with carriers and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new shipping opportunities with shippers and clients.
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers and customers to ensure profitable deals.
- Coordinate transportation of goods and manage the entire freight movement process.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate regularly with carriers and clients to provide shipment updates.
- Resolve transportation issues such as delays, route changes, or damages.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, shippers, and logistics partners.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with logistics regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Prior experience in Freight Brokerage, Logistics, or Transportation Coordination is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic knowledge of load boards, freight market trends, and carrier management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software is an advantage.
Salary & Incentives
- Salary Range: ₹21,000 – ₹50,000 per month.
- The final salary will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, and sales performance.
- Attractive incentives and performance-based bonuses will be provided based on sales and successful freight deals.
Work Schedule
- Shift Timing: Night Shift (aligned with US logistics operations).
- Working Days: 5 or 6 days a week (depending on company policy).
