Job Description :
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in machine design using SolidWorks. The candidate should have hands-on experience in SPM (Special Purpose Machine) design, sheet metal components, machine assemblies, drafting, nesting, and GD&T. The role involves developing innovative and manufacturable designs while coordinating with production and assembly teams.
Skills :
Design and develop SPM machines, machine assemblies, and mechanical systems using SolidWorks.
Create 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and assembly drawings.
Design sheet metal components and prepare flat patterns for manufacturing.
Perform nesting and material optimization for sheet metal parts.
Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards in engineering drawings.
Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and fabrication drawings.
Ensure DFM/DFA principles are followed for ease of manufacturing and assembly.
Coordinate with production, procurement, and assembly teams for design implementation.
Support machine installation, troubleshooting, and design modifications when required.
Maintain design documentation and revision control.
Required Skills
Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, Weldments, Drawing Modules).
Strong knowledge of SPM machine design and machine assemblies.
Experience in Sheet Metal Design, Nesting, and Drafting.
Good understanding of GD&T standards.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication, machining, and assembly.
Ability to create detailed engineering drawings and BOMs.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualification
B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
3–4 years of relevant experience in machine design.
Preferred
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
