Job Summary
We are looking for a Research & Development Executive (Market Research & AI Data Analyst) who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with online research and AI tools.
The candidate will be responsible for researching companies and markets, collecting and verifying business information, maintaining databases, analyzing market trends, and generating actionable insights to support Sales, Purchase, Export, Procurement, and Business Development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed online research using Google Search, company websites, LinkedIn, Google Maps, business directories, B2B portals, and other reliable digital sources.
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and similar platforms for research, data analysis, summarization, and information organization.
- Identify and research potential manufacturers, suppliers, importers, exporters, contractors, EPC companies, infrastructure companies, distributors, traders, and prospective B2B clients.
- Collect, organize, and verify company information, including:
- Company name
- Website
- Contact details
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Office/factory locations
- Key decision-makers
- Business activities
- Products and services
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, industry research, and business intelligence activities.
- Identify new markets, industries, companies, and potential business opportunities relevant to the steel industry.
- Research and analyze company profiles to determine their business relevance, product requirements, purchasing potential, and industry segment.
- Build, update, and maintain structured databases using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Cross-check information from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, authenticity, and data quality.
- Prepare research reports, company profiles, market summaries, and business intelligence reports for management.
- Analyze large volumes of information and convert raw data into clear and actionable business insights.
- Explore new AI tools, automation platforms, search techniques, and research methodologies to improve productivity and research quality.
- Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Export, and Business Development teams by providing accurate and relevant research data.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely completion of assigned research projects.
Required Skills
- Excellent online research and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of Google Search and advanced search operators.
- Practical knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Ability to collect, clean, verify, organize, and analyze large volumes of business data.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inaccurate or duplicate information.
- Good written English and report-writing skills.
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple research assignments.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain high data accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with LinkedIn, Google Maps, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Justdial, business directories, and other B2B platforms.
- Basic understanding of market research, lead generation, business intelligence, and competitor analysis.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted research, productivity, and automation tools.
- Previous experience in B2B research, steel, manufacturing, trading, export, procurement, or industrial research will be an advantage.
