1. Fabrication & Welding Supervision
- Plan and direct daily shop floor activities for welders, fitters, machine operators, and helpers.
- Interpret engineering drawings, structural blueprints, Bill of Materials (BOM), and welding symbols.
- Conduct structural fit-up checks, visual weld inspections, and monitor weld quality to minimize defects, rework, and scrap rates.
- Maintain welder qualification logs, continuity records, and procedure qualification records (PQR).
2. Purchase & Material Procurement Management
- Review project Bill of Materials (BOM) and raise Material Purchase Requisitions (PR) for raw materials (plates, pipes, structural steel), welding consumables (wire, electrodes, gases), and hardware.
- Coordinate with steel suppliers, vendors, and local hardware traders to gather quotes, negotiate lead times, and evaluate material pricing.
- Inspect incoming raw materials and vendor deliveries against Purchase Orders (PO), material test certificates (MTC), and quality standards.
- Track inventory levels of critical consumables, raw stock, and tools to maintain optimal stock buffer and prevent production downtime.
3. Operations & Production Planning
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules aligned with client delivery commitments.
- Allocate workforce, machinery, and workspace efficiently across active fabrication jobs.
- Monitor shop floor efficiency, equipment maintenance schedules, and machine utilization (CNC plasma cutters, press brakes, welding power sources, overhead cranes).
- Enforce shop floor safety (HSE) protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, hot-work permits, and 5S housekeeping standards.
4. Quality Control, Packaging & Dispatch Operations
- Oversee pre-dispatch preparation, including surface treatment (sandblasting, painting, galvanizing) and final dimensional verification.
- Direct safe material handling, rigging, and loading operations onto trailers/trucks using overhead cranes or forklifts.
- Verify delivery challans, packing lists, gate passes, and logistics paperwork prior to vehicle departure.
- Liaise with transport vendors and freight agencies to arrange timely transit to client sites or export hubs.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
