Job Summary:
The Lab Assistant is responsible for assisting teachers and students during practical classes, maintaining laboratory equipment and materials, ensuring safety standards, and keeping the laboratory clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials before practical sessions.
- Assist teachers during science practical classes and demonstrations.
- Maintain stock registers for laboratory equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and lab materials.
- Keep laboratories neat, clean, and well organized.
- Report damaged or missing equipment to the concerned authority.
- Maintain safety measures and ensure students follow laboratory rules.
- Label and arrange specimens, charts, instruments, and apparatus properly.
- Support in conducting internal practical examinations and assessments.
- Maintain attendance and usage records of laboratory materials.
- Coordinate with vendors for laboratory purchases if required.
- Assist in annual stock verification and audit work.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate / Diploma in Science or relevant field.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
- Computer knowledge preferred.
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
