Job Title: Design Engineer – Hydraulic Cylinders

About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Engineer with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in the design and development of hydraulic cylinders. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of hydraulic cylinder design, engineering calculations, manufacturing processes, and proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
The role involves designing new hydraulic cylinders, preparing detailed manufacturing drawings, supporting refurbishment projects, and coordinating with production and quality teams to ensure successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
Design and developsingle-acting, double-acting, tie-rod, and mill-duty hydraulic cylindersfor industrial applications.
Perform design calculations for:
Bore size
Rod diameter
Wall thickness
Buckling analysis
Mounting and load calculations
Seal groove design
Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings usingAutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Create and maintain3D models, BOMs, GA drawings, and fabrication drawings.
Select appropriate materials, seals, bearings, and hydraulic components based on application requirements.
Coordinate with production, procurement, and quality teams during manufacturing and assembly.
Review customer specifications and prepare technical proposals.
Support refurbishment projects by evaluating existing cylinders and recommending design modifications.
Resolve design-related issues during manufacturing and testing.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements.
Maintain design documentation and revision control.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Required
4–5 years of experience in hydraulic cylinder design and engineering.
Experience in heavy engineering, steel, cement, power, port, or material handling industries will be preferred.
