Job Summary
The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving agricultural machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical design skills, hands-on experience with CAD software, and a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop agricultural machinery, equipment, and components.
- Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, and detailed manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
- Modify and improve existing machine designs based on production and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Select appropriate materials and standard components for machine design.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
- Support prototype development, testing, and product validation.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues during manufacturing and assembly.
- Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Participate in continuous product improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineeringor any designing related degree.
- 1–5 years of experience in mechanical design or product design.
- Freshers with excellent CAD skills may also apply.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar CAD software.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
- Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in agricultural machinery, automotive, or heavy equipment manufacturing.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, gearboxes, and power transmission components.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management.
