A quartz slab industry production supervisor directs daily manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include scheduling shifts, monitoring the resin mixing and vibro-pressing processes, managing inventory, and ensuring strict quality control. They enforce health and safety protocols and drive continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities
- Production Planning: Translate sales orders into daily and weekly shift schedules, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and labor.
- Process Oversight: Monitor automated and manual manufacturing stages—including raw material batching, resin mixing, vacuum vibro-pressing, curing, and polishing.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct visual and instrumental checks to detect surface defects, color variations, and slab calibration issues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Schedule routine checks and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery (e.g., presses, CNC calibrators, and polishing lines) to minimize downtime.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and evaluate shop floor personnel, fostering a culture of safety and operational efficiency.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in artificial stone or quartz manufacturing. Understanding of resin chemistry and vacuum-compression is highly preferred.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to read blueprints/SOPs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software malfunctions on the production line.
- Safety Enforcement: Deep knowledge of OSHA and local industrial safety regulations, including dust extraction and PPE enforcement.
- Data Reporting: Proficiency in logging production metrics, tracking material waste, and preparing performance summaries.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
