Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Executive who will be responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, monitoring in-process quality, preparing and maintaining documentation, developing SOPs, and coordinating approvals for product formulations before commercial production.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of GMP, regulatory documentation, quality systems, and manufacturing processes related to Ayurvedic and Nutraceutical products.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable GMP, AYUSH, FSSAI, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance across all departments including Production, Quality Control, Warehouse, Stores, Engineering, Maintenance, Dispatch, and Packing.
- Conduct routine internal inspections and compliance audits.
- Identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Documentation Management
- Prepare, review, update, and control all Quality Assurance documentation.
- Maintain regulatory documentation in accordance with applicable standards.
- Ensure proper document control and version management.
- Maintain records for audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System.
- Prepare and revise Quality Manuals, SOPs, Work Instructions, Formats, Checklists, and Policies.
- Ensure all departments follow approved SOPs and quality procedures.
- Conduct periodic reviews and improvements of the QMS.
In-Process Quality Assurance
- Perform in-process quality checks during manufacturing and packing activities.
- Verify adherence to Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packing Records (BPR).
- Ensure production activities comply with approved procedures and specifications.
- Monitor critical process parameters and maintain complete documentation.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure departmental compliance according to schedules and requirements of applicable regulatory authorities.
- Prepare documentation required for regulatory inspections and audits.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections and ensure timely closure of observations.
Product Composition Approval
- Review formulations and manufacturing documents before production.
- Verify compliance of raw materials, formulations, and manufacturing processes with applicable AYUSH and Nutraceutical regulations.
- Coordinate internal approvals for product compositions prior to commercial manufacturing.
- Ensure production begins only after all required quality and regulatory approvals have been obtained.
SOP Development & Process Improvement
- Draft, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Develop quality policies and operational guidelines.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Standardize documentation practices throughout the organization.
Training
- Train employees on SOPs, GMP, hygiene, documentation practices, and quality procedures.
- Conduct refresher training sessions whenever procedures or regulations are updated.
- Maintain complete training records.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, Purchase, Stores, and Management.
- Support new product development from a quality and compliance perspective.
- Assist departments in implementing quality systems and maintaining compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm/M.Pharm), Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of Quality Assurance experience in Ayurvedic, Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical, or Herbal manufacturing.
- Fresh candidates with exceptional knowledge of GMP and documentation may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, GDP, and Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of AYUSH and FSSAI regulations applicable to manufacturing.
- Experience in SOP preparation, documentation control, and compliance management.
- Understanding of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packing Records (BPR).
- Internal audit and CAPA management skills.
