Our specialties include Cataract Surgery, Refractive Surgery (LASIK, PRK, ICL), Cornea, Retina, Glaucoma, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Low Vision Services, Dry Eye Management, and Optical Care. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Conduct refraction and prescribe spectacles and contact lenses.
- Perform preliminary ophthalmic evaluations including visual acuity, IOP measurement, keratometry, biometry, pachymetry, and other diagnostic tests.
- Assist ophthalmologists in Cataract, Cornea, Retina, Glaucoma, and Refractive Surgery clinics.
- Counsel patients regarding treatment options, spectacle correction, contact lenses, and refractive surgery.
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments for cataract and refractive surgery patients.
- Conduct specialized investigations such as OCT, Visual Fields, Corneal Topography, A-Scan/Biometry, and Dry Eye assessments as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and quality guidelines.
- Provide excellent patient care and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom) or Master of Optometry (M.Optom).
- Registration with relevant professional bodies, where applicable.
- Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
- Strong clinical knowledge and refraction skills.
- Good communication and patient counselling abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with EMR systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a tertiary eye care hospital.
- Exposure to cataract and refractive surgery practice.
- Experience with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment such as OCT, Topography, Biometry, Visual Field Analyzer, and Dry Eye workup systems.
- Contact lens fitting experience is an added advantage.
