Position Overview
We are seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations across designated stores and territories. This full‑time, on‑site role based in Ahmedabad requires strong leadership in managing store managers and sales teams, ensuring sales targets are achieved, and customer experience standards are upheld. The Area Sales Manager will act as a key link between retail outlets and corporate functions, ensuring brand consistency, operational efficiency, and responsiveness to market trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership & Target Achievement
- Drive sales performance across assigned stores/territories.
- Set, monitor, and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Implement promotional and merchandising strategies aligned with brand guidelines.
- Team Management & Coaching
- Lead, mentor, and support store managers and sales staff.
- Conduct regular store visits to provide coaching and resolve operational issues.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training to build a high‑performing sales organization.
- Market & Customer Insights
- Gather feedback on products, pricing, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams to align strategies with market needs.
- Ensure customer service standards are consistently met across outlets.
- Operational Excellence
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, operational standards, and brand integrity.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and management updates.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management, with exposure to multi‑store or territory operations.
- Strong sales strategy, planning, and execution skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing sales data and using metrics to drive performance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in apparel, fashion, or consumer goods industries preferred.
- Knowledge of the Ahmedabad retail market is an advantage.
- Hands‑on approach with frequent store visits and team engagement.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic business reporting tools.
